Osteoporosis and Bone Health - Further Advice

What else can I do to keep my bones healthy?

A well balanced diet is important to good bone health and to maintain bone strength. Specifically, bones need a supply of calcium in order to grow stronger. Sources of calcium include green, leafy vegetables, dairy products, shellfish, tofu and almonds. Other foods such as cereal, bread and orange juice are fortified with calcium. Calcium supplements may help one to achieve the recommended amount of calcium, as many people do not meet the recommended daily dose of calcium from their diet alone.
