Nice Guidelines on Arthroscopic Washout of the Knee

"Arthroscopic washout alone is not effective"
Nice has issued new guidelines and advice concerning the effectiveness of arthroscopic washout. The pros cons and patient expectations are outlined and discussed. The conclusion is that a simple arthroscopic knee washout without undertaking significant surgery such as menisectomy, debridement or a chondroplasty is not effective at relieving patients symptoms.
